Amar Nath Sharma

Amarnath Sharma, a young painter based in Baroda, is originally from Bokaro, Bihar. In 2002, he earned his master’s degree in painting from the same faculty where he had done his BFA in painting at M.S. University, Baroda. The imagery in the artist’s paintings convey his view of city life and his response to the circumstances. The names of the artist’s pieces, such as “How much can you walk,” “Violence and Tea,” and “Altitude the destination,” reveal his concerns. People fill the pictorial space, people being an essential aspect of the metropolis. Every piece of art is completed after careful consideration of both the topic and the concept of the space.
