Born in Delhi in 1954. Displayed since 1974 in the National Museums of Stockholm and Copenhagen, Osaka Print Triennele, Delhi Print Triennele, London, Glasgow, Berlin, Amsterdam, Singapore, Munich, New York, Delhi, Mumbai, Calcutta, Bangalore, Chennai, and Stockholm. Her work can be found at the following museums: MOCA L.A., Brooklyn; Bharat Bhawan Bhopal; Philadelphia Museum of Art; Delhi, Mumbai, Chandigarh; Singapore; Bradford, Stockholm, Hiroshima; Peabody Essex Boston; and Victoria and Albert Museum, London. AIFACS Award, gold medal for painting at the Sixth International Triennale in 1986, commission by the Hiroshima Museum of Modern Art for its fiftieth anniversary in 1995. She began creating enormous, non-commercial paintings in public locations in Delhi, Bangalore, Hamburg, and Kathmandu in 1981. 40-year Retrospective with Swaraj Archive at the National Gallery of Modern Art in Bangalore, 2016. obtained the Lalit Kala Grant, the title of “Eminent Artist,” and was filmed for the BBC, Stockholm TV, and numerous Indian TV networks.
