Bikas Poddar

Bikash Poddar is a sculptor and painter based in Kolkata. Growing up surrounded by the abundance of nature, he developed a fondness for painting around the fifth or sixth grade. Neither the notions of painting technique nor the existence of art colleges were known to him; there had never been an artist in his family. On the other hand, his artistic path was greatly influenced by his paternal uncle. He could watch and admire birds, ponds, and trees in the dense jungles that surrounded his home. Under the guidance of his principal, Mr. Dhar, he acquired a wide range of artistic methods at the Kolkata government art college. He has sculpted several pieces, engaged in product design, and had the chance to show his work in several galleries. His paintings are known for their crimson, surreal settings and exquisite colour blending.
