BIOGRAPHY is an introduction that illustrates and accounts for the literary genre and merges historical facts with the conventions of narrative while revealing how the biographical context can enrich the study of canonical authors. It provides up-to-date and comprehensive coverage of issues and controversies in life writing. A rapidly growing field of study offers a valuable biographical and historical context for the study of major classic and contemporary authors.
Most of us do not write biography, but probably all of us read it, and many of us consider the form as teachers, librarians, critics. My remarks come from my reading on the art of biography and from my experience as a writer of philosophical paradoxes for both young people and adults. There are scattered notes on what goes into the craft of biography and forms a practical space for the reviewers of biography.
Who knows what time, the fourth dimension, is? How to define it, how to explain it? Yet those of us who write biography or history deal with it daily at our desk. Like everyone else in a world of clocks we live in this dimension, conscious of it in greatly varying degree, at varying times. When we are at work, however, we are always intensely concerned with the passage of time in the life of our subject.
The duration of that life, its particular moment in the immense span of historical time, the years, months, weeks, days, even minutes, which may have been decisive in shaping the outcome of our subject’s personal history-all these falls under the must category of consideration.
Art also proves panorama of narratives, a mass of letters, a series of conversations do not in themselves give the sensation of time passing; still less do they convey the complex way in which time is experienced that strange mixture of continuity, memory, anticipation, routine and surprise. Everybody knows that time seems to run fast or slow according to the nature of the experience; and everybody has moments when the past seems to be relived. Everybody dreams, broods and hopes. This show entitled as “biography” not only describes its perspective of etymology but also examines the elevation which took time after time. The life of more than forty artists shows the pellet of their own conception along with their philosophical journey. The journey that evolved with amalgamation of colours and forms establishes the socio cultural documentation, so why not cal it a “biography. An episode which will lead and hold the fleets of time, a phase that will not only raise language out also will drive its beholders till the edge.
What does the biographer work with? He hunts for all the facts he can dig out concerning his subject’s life. The facts can be as elementary, but vital, as the date of birth. But all sayings are not the same few sayings exist without the nomenclatures as well. The terms like official records, archives etc are the indications of manmade establishments but what if we want to say let’s go out of archives and frame the era from the boundaries and till the boundaries we want. The core idea of this large mount is the same; it’s all about showing the documentation of an encoded era.
In any case, we gaze in every probable place for documents attesting to the evidence of the life: Parents, childhood, schooling, jobs or career, income, marriage, family life, illnesses, injuries, religion, morality, philosophy, politics, friends, enemies, habits, attitudes, moods, tastes, pleasures, disappointments but here its only about feelings and philosophies, it’s not about listing the not only refer the written of printed word, but the artefacts of that life like houses or apartments, furniture, land, clothing, possessions like pets, books, magazines etc but are these only assets to be recorded? Are these the only things to be concerned? It may often be impossible to judge but on the other hand it’s also required to stitch the files of our subconscious.
The inspiration for the title of this show exhibition derives from the philanthropy which counts on human mind. The aspect of reserving an era through the perspective of art is all what stimulated through the entire efforts. The score of target is to achieve the experience of a visitor to the exhibition, an interactive and understanding interpretation of standing before an individual work of art and mentally absorbing and interpreting its formal qualities, narrative, and meaning. These movements are linked by transitional passages whose tempo references the act of walking from one picture on to another, and whose tone and mood suggest mental reflection. Starting from the contemporary seniors to young and up-coming budding are in well concern of the mount, and the idea is just to derive an amalgamated arena out of convictional thought process.
The idea of plurality also spins in air, but breaking the nomenclatures it simply again unifying the plurals in singular. In studying English grammar there is famous mock, they say that one who does mistakes in singular and plural attain the stage of spirituality as they can see one into plural and plural into one. Well apart from this humorous statement a sense of intellectuality which drains out of this is that plural can turn singular in some ways. The idea must be very vague to digest but when we look at the mount of the show multiple artists carrying their own experiences and shares of time, enriched philosophies will be confronted with fresh and energetic idea of the young will create a meeting of minds and thoughts.
