Nawal Kishore
Nawal Kishore portrays mysterious, seductive female figures to his viewers in a sophisticated manner. The observer is drawn into a multitude of emotions, expressions, colours, and moods by the singular female figures that frequently appear as the subject of his paintings. His ladies have curves, are colourful, and have their own world. His understanding of cubism also lends weight and character to his figures.
His canvases are incredibly intricate in addition to being rich in colour and texture. Kishore’s selection of hues, shapes, and motifs conveys his self-assurance and passion for life. Grey is a colour that Nawal Kishore has mastered for adding depth and light to his paintings. Nawal, who is from Rampur in Uttar Pradesh, attended Lucknow College of Arts & Crafts in Lucknow for his BFA and MFA. In addition to having numerous solo exhibitions at prestigious art galleries, he has had his works included in numerous group exhibitions both domestically and abroad. In addition, he has received numerous awards as an artist, and both public and private collections around the country display his works.
