Bengal was the place of Niren Sen Gupta’s 1940 birth. He served as the College of Art’s principal in New Delhi before. He has been a graduate and post-graduate instructor at different art schools for more than thirty years. He holds degrees from Calcutta University’s School of Science and the Govt. College of Art & Crafts in Calcutta’s School of Arts. In addition to being an Executive member of the Academy of Visual Media, New Delhi, and a member of Calcutta Painters, Sen Gupta is also the founder of Gallery 26 in Kolkata. He sees art as a means of communicating within. His artistic creations are a reflection of his evolving connectedness with the world around him. He sees enduring beauty in the peace and complete submission of the monks of the Ramakrishna Mission, which stands for selflessness and devotion to humanity. His artistic creations are beautiful representations of his inner thoughts, imbued with peace, selflessness, beauty, and sacrifice. He has participated in a number of notable group and solo exhibitions.
