Oinam Dilip

Bishenpur gave birth to Oinam Dilip in 1982. He obtained his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Delhi College of Art. Oinam dabbled with abstract and realist work in his early years, drawing inspiration from South Asian metropolises. The artist discovered his muse in North East India, where he was motivated to capture beauty and simplicity on canvas. His portraits demonstrate an in-depth awareness of Manipur’s social ethos and realities. His topics fill the majority of his canvas, creating a stunning, complex explosion of colours, lines, and, most crucially, human emotions. His paintings are a mix of realism and abstraction, with his subjects leaning more towards realism and set on a gorgeous vivid background.
